Are
you in a band looking for more visibility? Do you want something
you can hand to people looking for your talent? Do you need an
audition CD, fast? Are you looking to record your next CD? Tired
with the “same old studio” sound? A professionally-recorded
CD, engineered by Greg Albing at Laser Bay Studios is the best way
to make your music come alive, get noticed, and get your name out
there.
Your CD is the doorway into gigs, and quality is
the key. The difference between a so-so recording and a great
recording is the difference between not getting noticed and being
booked every night.
That's why I'm offering you a
pro-quality recording for garage-band prices! This year, cut a
CD that you can truly be proud of.
 *An
experienced recording engineer - comes at the recommendation of
one of the area's most visible engineers *An accomplished
musician - a recording engineer with a good ear is the only way to
get a musical album *Editing, mixing, and mastering - sound as
good (or better) than you've ever sounded live; you'll be
surprised at what kind of magic can go on in the editing
process *The recording studio at Concordia College in Moorhead,
MN - state-of-the-art equipment and tens-of-thousands of dollars
worth of mics, pres, and sound processors, plus several
high-quality recording venues.
Other studios charge
$50/hour for studio work. * It can take four hours to set up,
do sound checks, get a couple good takes, and do any overdubbing -
$200/song * Editing each song can take two hours - $100/song *
Mixing and mastering can take another three hours per song -
$150/song For a CD of 4 tracks, that's $1800! What kind of band
can afford that if they aren't already rolling in dough?
I
offer the same services for a fraction of that price, depending on
the size of the group, the number of tracks on the CD, how
much post-production work you want done on it, and whether
or not you want us to handle any part of the design, replication,
printing, or packaging of the final project. I guarantee it'll
take a heck of a project to even approach the “pro” studio's
$1800 fee!
 Do
you want audio reinforcement or recording for a live show? We do
that, too! Send us an email and we'll figure out a rate that
you'll be glad about. The price may be more or less depending on
the distance from the gig and how much gear is involved, but our
standards are always the highest and you'll leave the gig amazed
and how easily the night went and how professional the recording
sounds.
 Under
various capacities, the engineers at Laser Bay Studios have worked
with... * Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome * The Escape
Artists * Captain Hootenanny and the Miserable Stepchildren *
Red River Jazz Combo * Concordia Campus Sound

 "Greg's
a creative guy who's willing to work with people to get the
results they want. Also, he's cheap." -Andy
Campbell President and Producer - Concordia's Beat (2007-9)
"Greg is one of the most organized and honest guys I've ever worked with." -Russell Peterson
Professor, Composer, and Recording Engineer
"He was very easy to work with, and set up the equipment perfectly in
an area that was rather unfriendly for a recording situation. He
had a great ear and was able to make all of the mistakes that we
made sound awesome! At the time we were recording with Greg, my
band was in a professional studio recording an album and we felt
that a lot of the things Greg did were better than what the studio
was doing for us. So we actually ended up redoing that particular
song in the studio to make it sound more like the way Greg did it.
So I would say that all in all Greg is an extremely talented
engineer and I would be happy to work with him again. -Phil
Moss, Escape Artists
